1. INSPECT THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
After installing or disassembling throttle body parts, always inspect the throttle body after cleaning it.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal for more than 60 seconds.

  1. After installing the throttle body on the vehicle, turn the ignition switch to ON without depressing the accelerator pedal.

    NOTICE:
    If the accelerator pedal is depressed, repeat the above procedures.

  1. Clear DTCs using the intelligent tester (Click here).

  1. Start the engine, check that the check engine warning light does not turn on and that the idle speed is within the specified condition when the engine is warm and the air conditioning is turned from on to off.

    Specified condition:
    700 rpm with A/C off

    NOTICE:
    1. Perform this operation without any extra electrical load (audio, lights, etc. must be off).
    2. Perform this operation with the shift lever in N.

  1. Depress the accelerator pedal quickly to near the full-open position, and check that the values of "ECU data monitor" and "the No. 1 Full-open Throttle sensor (THP1)" are higher than 60%.

  1. Perform a driving test to check if there are any irregularities.
